The Wellsboro Varsity boys track team took home 5th place with 74 points at the NTL Meet on Saturday, May 10.
Towanda won with 129.25, Canton was 2nd with 113, and Sayre was third at 111.75.
Senior Dan Brooks finished 6th in the 100m (11.86) and 5th in the 200m (23.48). Senior Joey Doganiero was 1st in the 400m (51.23) and 5th in the 800m (2:06.65).
Sophomore Issac Leach was 9th in the 1600m run at 5:09.3 and Freshman Alden Weiner was 12th in the 3200m at 11:58.54. Senior Blair Carson (17.35) was 4th in the 110m hurdles and Junior Jack Chambers was 7th at 17.89, and Chambers took home 2nd in the 300m hurdles at 42.63.
Sophomore Rich Tardieu (5' 8") finished 3rd in the high jump with Senior Dylan Prough in 4th at 5' 6". Sophomore Anthony Cooper was 6th in the pole vault at 11' 6", Prough was 3rd in the long jump (20' 5"), Junior Michael Pietropola was 5th in the long jump (19' 3"), and Tardieu was 2nd in the triple jump at 41' 5".
Senior Blake Gamble was 6th in the shot put (42' 0.5") and 10th in the discus (112' 4"), Juniors Ben Davis (107' 3") and Bill Lupkowski (105' 7") was 15th in the discus, and Junior Jake Mitchell was 9th in the javelin at 128' 9".
