The Hornets out shot South Williamsport 11-4 and held a 7-5 advantage on corner kicks. Senior Jake Mitchell recorded four saves in goal on the night for his 12th shut out of the year.

"Our defense did a great job containing some very talented South players," Shaffer continued. "I want to congratulate the back line and goalie on their 12th shut out of the year, a state acknowledged mark."

With the win, the Hornets improve to 14-5 (13-5 NTL) and will take on Sayre, at a time and place to be determined, in the quarterfinals.
