The Wellsboro boys and girls track teams each placed in the top 5 in team results at the Molly Dry Invite at Mansfield University on Saturday, April 12.
The girls team finished in 3rd with a scored 83.5. The 4x800m realy team took home fifth in 11:19.81, Sophomore Haley Zuchowski was 9th in the 100m hurdles at 17.92, Junior Lauren Bleggi was 2nd in the 100m run at 13.2, and Sophomore Jada Jackson was 3rd at 13.3.
Sophomore Camryn Keane was 13th in the 1600m run at 6:19.26 and Sophomore Jordyn Coffee was 18th at 6:34.33. Jackson was 10th in the 400m run (1:05.66), the 4x100m realy team won in 53.26, Zuchowski was 5th in the 300m hurdles (52.6), and Junior Annie Sweeney was 10th in the 800m run at 2:44.0.
Bleggi finished 4th in the 200m run in 28.15, Camryn Keane was 7th in the 3200m run at 13:42.29, the 4x400m realy team was 3rd in 4:26.48, Senior Kaelyn Keane was 3rd in the long jump (15'), Jackson was 2nd in the triple jump (34' 10.25"), and Kaelyn Keane was 3rd in the high jump (4' 11").
Sophomore Joey Taft was 8th in the pole vault (7' 6"), Senior Alex Kurtz was 4th in the shot put (29' 7"), and Kaelyn Keane was 3rd in the javelin (101' 5").
The boys team finished 5th on the day with 60 team points. The 4x800m relay team started the day off with a 4th place finish in 9:44.65, Senior Blair Carson was 8th in the 110m hurdles at 17.33, Senior Dan Brooks was 6th in the 100m run at 11.73, and Sophomore David Zavetsky was 18th in the 1600m run at 5:19.15.
The 4x100m realy team was 2nd at 46.38, Junior Jack Chambers was 4th in the 300m hurdles in 44.16, Senior Cody DeHaas was 11th in the 800m run at 2:16.07, and Brooks was 7th in the 200m run at 24.27.
Sophomore Issac Leach was 16th in the 3200m run (11:57.7), Senior Dylan Prough was 3rd in the long jump (19' 5") with Junior Michael Pietropola was 5th (18' 10.5"), Junior Jake Mitchell was 11th in the triple jump (35' 8.25"), Prough and Sophomore Rich Tardieu tied for 3rd in the high jump (5' 5"), Senior Blake Gamble was 3rd in the shot put (42' 1"), and Junior Nick Marple was 2nd in the javelin at 162' 6".
Both teams will be back in action on Monday, April 14 as they as they travel to Sayre.
