Members of the Wellsboro swim team traveled to Sayre Monday night to compete a tthe NTL Swim Meet, and came away with another great performance.
For the boys, Junior Blair Carson captured 1st place in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:05.63 and was 6th in 100 butterfly at 1:03.61. Senior Bobby Hill finished 3rd in the 50 freestyle in 22.82 and 1st in the 100 freestyle at 50.34.
For the girls, Freshman Mikayla Feil took home 1st in the 50 freestyle in 27.59 and was 3rd in the 100 breaststroke wih a time of 1:22.44. Sophomore Emilie Kramer took 1st in the 200 IM in 2:26.09 and was 1st in the 100 breaststroke with a time of 1:18.42. Junior Alex Kurtz finished 4th in the 50 freestyle with a time of 28.92 and came home 6th in the 100 backstroke in 1:14.65. Senior Brittany Redell finished 2nd in the 100 freestyle in 59.63 and 4th in the 100 backstroke with a time of 1:10.83.
The team is off until next weekend, February 22nd and 23rd when they compete in the PIAA District IV Championships.
