The Wellsboro Middle School volleyball team rallied to defeat Williamson in three games Monday night to stay undefeated.
The team dropped the first game 23-25 but won 25-13 and 15-9 in the second and third games to take the match.
"We were a little sleepy for a Monday night and took us losing the first set to get into our game and groove," said head coach Jenn Outman. "The fear of losing for the first time this season challenged my girls to work hard, dig deep, and make the other team make the mistakes.
"For the first time this season, a couple girls that we heavily rely on for powerful serves, struggled serving. This really took us off our regular game. A lot of action and volleying, it was a great competitive game."
In the B match, the Lady Hornets fell 25-14 and 25-23.
With the win, the A team improves to 11-0 on the season and will be back in action on Wednesday, October 16 at Mansfield.
