The Wellsboro Varsity girls soccer team suffered their second loss of the week, both coming in overtime.
This time, the Lady Hornets came up on the losing end to Sayre by the final count of 3-2.
Sophomore Sarah Ingerick got Wellsboro on the scoreboard in the 60th minute after Sayre went up 2-0 in the first half. 10 minutes later Sophomore Brynn Ripley scored to tie the game up and force overtime.
Again, the Lady Hornets' defense was solid as Junior Meghan Bodine recorded 7 saves in goal, but Sayre was able to get the game-winner with just over a minute left in the second overtime.
With the loss, the Lady Hornets fall to 4-7-1 (3-6-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Monday, September 30 as they travel to Athens.
