The Wellsboro JV baseball and softball teams each picked up wins over Williamson Thursday afternoon.
In softball, the Lady Hornets won 6-2. Freshman Alexa Singer pitched 3 innings, Freshman Sarah Ingerick threw 2, and Sophomore Jordan Butters threw 2 on their way to the second win of the season.
In baseball, the Hornets beat Williamson 13-1 for their first win of the 2013 season. Freshman Sam Moss threw a five inning one-hitter, giving up one run and having seven strikeouts. Sam helped himself out at the plate contributing a double, two RBI's and a run.
Freshman Joe Allen sparked the offense with two doubles, two walks and three runs scored. Sophomore Dylan Widows had a base hit bunt leading to a run scored. Sophomore Nick Levindoski had a big night at the plate hitting every ball hard, resulting in two hits, two RBI's and two runs. Freshman Nick Tremper added a run and had a good defensive game at the catcher position. Freshman Jeremy Kreger added a hit and a run for Wellsboro as well.
