The Wellsboro boys track team finished in third place behind Towanda and Northeast Bradford in a tri-meet hosted by Towanda Tuesday night.
Junior Dylan Prough won the long jump with a distance of 19' 10", Senior Bobby Hill took second in the 800m run, Junior Blair Carson was third in the 110m hurdles, Sophomore Nick Marple was second in the high jump, and Senior Jordan Jackson took third in the 1600m run.
In the field events, Marple won the javelin with a throw of 149' 11" and Senior Thomas Straniere finished second in the pole vault.
With the third place finish, the Hornets fall to 0-3 (0-3 NTL) on the year. The team will be back in action this Thursday, April 11 as they travel to Coudersport.
