Hornet volleyball tops Wyalusing, 3-1

The Wellsboro Varsity volleyball team picked up a league win Thursday as they beat Wyalusing 3-1.
The Lady Hornets won the first game 25-21, lost the second 25-12, won the third 25-21, and the fourth 25-17 to take the match. Junior Danielle Mihalik led the team with 9 kills, Junior Peyton Wilson has 14 assists, Senior Alex Kurtz had 10 points and 1 ace, Senior Kaelyn Keane had 3 blocks and 6 kills, and Katie Straniere had 35 digs.
In the J.V. game, Wyalusing topped Wellsboro 2-0 (27-25 & 25-17).
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 7-9 (3-7 NTL Division 1). The team will be back in action on Monday, October 21 as they host Sayre for Senior Night.
