The Wellsboro Lady Hornet track team dominated their meet Tuesday with Towanda and Northeast Bradford to stay undefeated.
The Lady Hornets scored 109.5 points to take first place in the meet.
Sophomore Lauren Bleggi had a great afternoon as she won the 100m (13.0), the 200m (27.5), and was on the winning 4x100m relay (53.7) with Senior Mackenzie Marple, Senior Kimberly Acorn, and Senior Sarah Kramer.
Freshman Jada Jackson won the 400m run (1:02.1) and 2nd in the the 800m run (2:27.7), Freshman Jordyn Coffee finished third in the 1600m run (5:59.6) and 2nd in the the 3200m run (13:26.8), and Marple finished 2nd in the 100m hurdles (17.0) and won 300m hurdles (51.7).
In the field events, Sophomore Danielle Mihalik won the shot put with a throw of 25' 9", Junior Kate Straniere won the discus with a throw of 80' 1", and Senior Jessie Catherman took first place in the javelin with a throw of 98' 4". To round out the day, Kramer won both the pole vault (9' 0") and the long jump (13' 10.5") and Acorn won the triple jump with 32' 7.5".
With the win, the Lady Hornets improve to 3-0 (3-0 NTL). The team will be back in action on Thursday, April 11 as they travel to Coudersport.
