The Wellsboro girls track team claimed their second straight NTL titile on Saturday, by scoring 165 points. Wyalusing had 119 for second, Athens was third at 98, followed by North Penn at 74, and Sayre was at 71.
Towanda was sixth at 52, Northeast Bradford had 36, Troy had 33, Williamson had 31, and Canton finished with with seven points.
In the 100m run, Sophomore Lauren Bleggi came in 3rd at 13.3, with Senior Sarah Kramer coming in 4th in 13.37. Freshman Jada Jackson took home 2nd in the 200m run (26.85) and Bleggi followed in 3rd (27.33). Jackson continued her solid day by finishing 2nd in the 400m run (1:00.81), and won the triple jump at 35' 3".
Senior Randi Grim finished 7th in the 800m run (2:41.88) and 5th in the 1600m (5:39.12). Freshman Jordyn Coffee was 7th in the 1600 (5:53.77) and finished 4th in the 3200m run (12:58.33).
Senior Mackenzie Marple took home 3rd in the 100m hurdles with a time of 17.02, and was 2nd in the 300m hurdles at 49.67.
In the relays, the 4x100m team took home 1st (53.69), the 4x400m team was 3rd in 4:28.59, and the 4x800m team was 3rd at 10:28.03.
In the jumping events, Junior Kaelyn Keane finished tied for 6th in the high jump (4' 6"), Kramer was 3rd in the pole vault (8' 6"), and Senior Kimberly Acorn was 2nd in the long jump (16' 1.75"), followed by Bleggi in 3rd (15' 11").
In the throwing events, Junior Alex Kurtz finished 4th in the shot put (29' 9'), Senior Jessie Catherman was 7th in the discus (85' 5'), and Marple won the javelin with a throw of 111' 5".
