Coming off of wins Thursday at Coudersport, the boys and girls track teams had solid performances at the Molly Dry invite in Mansfield Saturday.
The girls team finished in first place with a total of 93 points, beating out Montgomery (90.5) and Bath-Haverling (90). The 4x800m relay team started the day off with a 3rd place finish in a time of 10:38.31. Sophomore Lauren Bleggi finished 5th in the 100m run in 13.67, while Senior Kimberly Acorn took 8th at 14.3.
Senior Randi Grim took 5th in the 1600m run in 5:46.7, and Freshman Jordyn Coffee was 7th at 5:58.91. Freshman Jada Jackson was third in the both the 400m (1:03.97) and 800m (2:35.18) runs, and the 4x100m relay team took home 1st with a time of 54.85.
To round out the running events, Bleggi took home 5th in the 200m run (28.68), Coffee was 4th in the 3200m run (13:05.04), and the 4x400m relay team was 3rd (4:32.31).
In the field events, Acorn finished 2nd in the long jump (15' 7") and 3rd in the triple jump (32' 8"). Junior Kaelyn Keane took home 5th in the high jump (4' 4"), Senior Sarah Kramer was 3rd in the pole vault (9' 0"), and Senior Jessie Catherman was 2nd in the javelin (104' 9").
For the boys, Junior Dan Brooks finished 3rd in the 100m run in 11.65, Freshman Dakota Cleveland was 6th in the 2000m steeplechase (7:20.24), Senior Jordan Jackson was 4th in the 1600m run (4:42.15), Senior Bobby Hill was 2nd in the 400m run (53.55), the 4x100m relay team took second (47.14), and Sophomore Jack Chambers 2nd in the 300m hurdles (44.77).
In the 800m run, Jackson (2:02.06) and Hill (2:03.83) took home the top two spots, Junior Joey Doganiero was 5th in the 800m (2:07.89), and the 4x400m realy team finished 1st (3:33.79) to round out the running events.
In the field events, Sophomore Kieron Smethers was 6th in the long jump (18' 7"), Senior Thomas Straniere tied for 3rd in the pole vault (11' 6"), and Sophomore Nick Marple was 5th in the javelin (143' 6").
Both teams will be back in action on Tuesday, April 16 as they host Williamson (Northern Tioga).
