Senior Chad Daugherty's wrestling career at Wellsboro came to an end Saturday in Williamsport at Regionals.

Daugherty started strong Friday night pinning Scranton Prep's Mike Weircinski in 3:05 to advance to the next round to face Muncy's Skylar Ebner. Daugherty fell 2-1 to place him in the consolation bracket. In his third match, Daugherty faced Canton's Connor Route and picked up an 8-2 decision over the NTL foe.

In his final match for third or fourth place, Daugherty faced Conner Rosensweet and needed a win to advance to the PIAA State Championships. Daugherty wound up losing 3-2 to end his career in the Green and White.

Over his four years at Wellsboro, Daugherty has won 104 career matches, and has had consecutive 30 win seasons. WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate Chad on a great career and thank him for his hard work and dedication to the wrestling program for the last four years.
