The Wellsboro Middle School soccer team competed in the Williamson tournament over the weekend.

The team got off to a good start and placed second in their pool by downing Williamson (3-0), Liberty (3-0), Athens (1-0), and fell to Sayre (0-3). After advancing out of their pool, the team had a rematch against Athens and fell 1-0.

"The Hornets played with intensity and aggressiveness in all their game this weekend," said head coach Ed Hamm. "Everyone played team soccer and passed the ball extremely well."

After this weekend, the team finished with a record of 4-11-2.
