The Wellsboro Middle School girls basketball team dropped their final regular season game last night to Mansfield, 33-27. Sarah Ingerick and Alexa Singer scored 8 points each and Darci Warriner and Stephanie Leister added 6 and 5 points respectively.
"We got down 7-0 to start the game," said head coach Darrell Morris. "It was an exciting game and Mansfield kept pulling away and we kept coming back. We had their lead cut to 2 points numerous times in the fourth quarter, but just couldn't pull even."
In the B-Team game, Wellsboro won to conclude a good season as they finished with a 9-4 overall record. The team will be back in action next week for the inaugural NTL Middle School Tournament.
