The Middle School boys basketball team suffered a two point loss to Mansfield Friday night in Wellsboro. The Hornets, who are now 3-4 on the year, fell to the Tigers 27-25 in the final seconds of the game.

"We started out the game okay but had pretty rough second and third quarters and were down 8 going into the fourth quarter," said head coach Dan Marple. "The kids played hard and we tied it up with about 3 minutes to go, but just couldn't knock down the go ahead basket."

Dawson Prough had 17, Joe Allen had 6, and Tony Cooper had 2 points and 5 rebounds. Nick Tremper did a good job on defense against a much taller player and hustled all night long.

In the B-Team game, Wellsboro won 33-13. Jake Singer had 11, Brandon Lamphier had 8 and Bryon Callahan had 6. 8 players got in the scoring column. The team will be back in action on Friday, March 16, as they travel to Williamson.
