The Wellsboro Middle School boys basketball team picked up their first win of the season as they defeated Williamson, 43-13. Dawson Prough netted 23 points to lead Wellsboro, while Joe Allen contributed 12 points. In addition to the A-team's win, the B-team also defeated Williamson 20-6 behind Brandon Lamphier's 6 points and Brandon Bower's 4 points.

"We had 5 players score points during the A game and played good defense in the third quarter and 7 players scored during the B game," said head coach Dan Marple. "Both teams showed a lot of improvement with running plays effectively."

The team will be back in action next Monday, February 27, as they travel to Westfield to take on Cowanesque Valley.
