The Wellsboro Lady Hornets fell to Coudersport 41-31 Saturday afternoon in Wellsboro.
The Lady Hornets could not generate much offense on the court, and had too many turnovers in the loss to the Lady Falcons.
"It was a disappointing loss," said head coach Mary Grab. "We had a weak second and third quarter, got into a hole and had trouble getting out of it.
"Our shooting continues to be pretty poor; you can't win games if you can't put the ball through the hole and our shooting percentages reflect that," stated Grab.
Senior Kimberly Acorn led the team with 9 points, and Senior Hannah Zuchowski pitched in 8 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 blocked shots.
In the JV game, the Lady Hornets continued their hot streak and picked up a 46-11 win to improve their record to 8-0. Freshmen Sarah Ingerick and Alexa Singer were both in double figures with 16 and 10 points, respectively.
With the loss, the Varsity team falls to 2-6 on the season. The team will be back in action on Wednesday, December 26 as they open the Montoursville Christmas Tournament against Williamsport.
