Lady Hornets down Northwest for 3rd place at Muncy

The Wellsboro Lady Hornets evened up their 2012 season record to 1-1 with a 50-44 victory over Northwest Saturday in Muncy.
After a tough loss Friday to Hughesville, the Lady Hornets rallied to take third place behind the clutch shooting of Mackenzie Marple. Marple recorded a season-high 24 points to lead the Hornets, while fellow Senior Hannah Zuchowski pitched in 8 points.
Rounding out the scoring for the Lady Hornets was Sarah Ingerick and Kimberly Acorn with 6 points, Freshman Jada Jackson with 2, Senior Kiana Acorn with 2, Sophomore Jordan Butters with 1, and Freshman Alexa Singer with 1.
The Lady Hornets begin their regular season this Tuesday, December 11 as they host Sayre.
