Hornets handle Galeton, 59-37

The Green Hornet varsity boys basketball team remains undefeated in the NTL West by defeated Galeton, 59-37. The Hornets controlled the tempo for the entire game on their way to their 16th win of the 2011-12 season. Sophomore Dylan Prough led they way for Wellsboro with a double-double (16 points, 12 rebounds), while Junior Jordan Jackson contributed 13 points.
In JV action, the Hornets beat Galeton 36-18. Freshmen Michael Pietropola and Nick Marple led the team in scoring with 10 points each. With the win, the JV team is now 11-7.
The team will be back in action on Wednesday, February 8, as they travel to Westfield to take on Cowanesque Valley.
