Hornets face South Williamsport Friday

The boys basketball team will begin the quest for a District 4 title this Friday night as they take on South Williamsport. After defeating Mansfield to claim the NTL West title and earning the second seed in Class AA, the Hornets had a first round bye, with their opponent determined by the winner of South Williamsport vs. Williamson first round game.
South Williamsport knocked off Williamson last night in Williamsport by the final score of 57-44 to advance to the second round.
Wellsboro opened up their 2011-12 season at South Williamsport and won 51-50. The game will be played at Mansfield University, this Friday, February 24 at 7:30 p.m.
