The Wellsboro Varsity boys and girls cross country teams ran well this morning at Altoona.
The boys team finished 5th overall (2nd Class A) with 180 points while the girls team finished 7th overall (2nd Class A) with 205 points. Senior Jordan Jackson won the boys race in a time of 16:43 and Freshman Jordyn Coffee placed 27th overall in the girls race (21:57) to lead the Hornets.
Rounding out the other finishers for the boys team were Senior Bobby Hill in 7th (17:30), Junior Joey Doganiero in 32nd (18:19), Senior Derek Morgan in 77th (19:53), Freshman Dakota Cleveland in 78th (19:54), and Senior Drew Patrick in 137th (22:15).
Rouding out the other finishers for the girls team were Freshman Jada Jackson in 35th (22:13), Junior Charlotte Worthington in 44th (22:34), Senior Randi Grim in 57th (23:00), Sophomore Annie Sweeney in 71st (23:34), and Junior Baylee Mann in 109th (25:27).
The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 18 as they host Towanda and Athens.
