The Wellsboro Varsity softball team suffered their first loss in the last four games as they were shut out against CV, 2-0. The Hornet's offense was dormant last night, as Freshmen Lauren Bleggi and Jordan Butters had the only hits on the night.
Sophomore Maggie Smith started on the mound for Wellsboro, as Brooke Kohler would come on in relief. Smith took the loss, as she allowed 2 runs on 2 hits in 4 innings of work.
With the loss the Hornets are now 10-5 (6-2 NTL West). The team will be back in action on Friday, May 11, as they host Williamson.
In JV action, the Hornets defeated CV 6-5. The team finished their 2012 season with a record of 3-4.
