The Wellsboro Varsity girls cross country team took first place at the Lasagna Invite tonight in Wyalusing. The team scored 64 points to back up their first place run at Big Valley last weekend.
Freshman Hannah Hood was the top finisher for the Hornets in 10th place with a time of 21:51. Freshman Jada Jackson finished 12 overall with a time of 22:09. Senior Randi Grim and Junior Charlotte Worthington came in 15th and 16th with times of 22:41 and 22:57, respectively.
Winding out the rest of the field for the Hornets was Freshman Jordyn Coffee in 21st place (23:25), Sophomore Annie Sweeney in 28th (24:35), Camryn Keane in 33rd place (25:02), Junior Baylee Mann in 36th spot (25:23), Caitlynn Butler in 46th (26:32), and Freshman Samantha Bailey in 49 (26:38).
The team will be back in action on Tuesday, September 11th, as they travel to take on Mansfield, Cowanesque Valley, and Canton.
