The Wellsboro Varsity girls cross country team picked up two league wins tonight as they defeated Wyalusing and Sayre.
The girls defeated Wyalusing 20-41 and Sayre 23-34. Freshmen Jada Jackson and Jordyn Coffee were the top two finishers for the team in first in second with times of 21:57 and 21:58, respectively.
Rounding out the rest of the Hornet finishers were Freshman Hannah Hood in 6th (23:20), Senior Randi Grim in 8th (23:49), Junior Charlotte Worthington in 9th (23:57), Freshman Camryn Keane in 11th (24:25), Freshman Samantha Bailey in 12th (25:32), Sophomore Denae Ingerick in 13th (25:56), Sophomore Caitlynn Butler in 15th (26:26), and Junior Baylee Mann in 17th (26:38).
With the wins, the Hornets improve their 2012 season record to 11-1 (9-1 NTL). The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 13 for the NTL Coaches Meet.
