The Wellsboro Middle School girls basketball team picked up their 11th win of the season last night as they defeated the Galeton Tigers, 32-16. Alexa Singer lead all scorers with 13 points and added 5 steals and 3 rebounds. Sarah Ingerick chipped in 7 points, along with 5 steals and 2 assists. Jada Jackson added 4 points and 5 rebounds.
"Our girls took control of the game from the outset and jumped out to a 14-1 lead and never looked back," said head coach Darrell Morris. "The girls executed our zone offense very well in the first half and we got a lot of good looks at the basket."
In the B-Team game, Wellsboro won 18-9. The team will be back in action on Monday, March 26, as they host Towanda.
