Disappointing loss for Lady Hornets

The Wellsboro Lady Hornets fell behind early and just couldn't make up lost ground, losing to Northeast Bradford by a score of 40-30. Mackanzie Marple scored 14 points and pulled down 7 rebounds. Kim Acorn added 8 points. The Lady Hornets record dropped to 7-4 (5-1 NTL West).
"It was a really disappointing night," commented coach Mary Grab. "The girls just seemed out of sync throughout the game, despite playing hard."
In Junior Varsity action, the Lady Hornets defeated Northeast Bradford by a score of 30-20. Leading the way for Wellsboro was Jodan Butters with 12 points and 5 rebounds, along with Paige Carr, who scored 10 points and hauled down 9 rebounds.
