Junior Chad Daugherty ended his 2011-12 wrestling season Saturday at the District 4 tournament. Daugherty, the 195 lbs. North Sectional champ, lost 2 out of 3 matches and missed placing by one round. Daugherty had a bye in the first round. In the second, he lost 5-0 to Brandon Smith of Lewisburg.
On the second day of competition, Daugherty picked up a pin in 1:30 against Bristin Robinson of Towanda, before falling to Canton's Connor Route by a 6-0 decision.
Daugherty wrestled in 36 matches this season, winning 30 (21 pins) and scoring 146 points. WellsboroAthletics.com would like to congratulate Chad on an amazing season.
