The Wellsboro Varsity boys cross country team picked up two league wins tonight as they defeated Wyalusing and Sayre.
The boys defeated Wyalusing 25-31 and Sayre 22-33. The Hornets swept the top three spots as Senior Jordan Jackson, Senior Bobby Hill, and Junior Joey Doganiero finished 1-2-3. Jackson won the meet in a time of 17:05, Hill ran a 17:40, and Doganiero finished with a 17:48.
Rounding out the rest of the finishers were Senior Derek Morgan in 11th (19:51), Freshman Dakota Cleveland in 16th (20:43), Sophomore Dalton Messmer in 23rd (21:36), Senior Drew Patrick in 24th (21:53), Freshman Alex Granger in 30th (26:37).
With the wins, the Hornets improve their 2012 season record to 9-3 (7-3 NTL). The team will be back in action on Saturday, October 13 for the NTL Coaches Meet.
