Despite committing 20 turnovers the Hornets played well enough to upend the Coudersport Falcons Monday night in Wellsboro, 49-38. The Hornets were led by Jordan Jackson (12 points, 5 rebounds), Matt Reese (12 points, 5 rebounds), Dylan Prough (12 points, 6 rebounds) and Joey Doganiero (7 points, 3 rebounds). It was a very physical game but the Hornets never wavered and were able to pull away in the second half by outscoring the Falcons 28-19 to preserve a 49-38 victory.
In JV action, the Hornets narrowly escaped with their first victory of the 2011 season by defeating Coudersport 29-28. The team was led by Freshmen Michael Pietropola (11 points) and Kieron Smethers (7 points). The Hornets will be back in action Thursday, December 15 as they host NTL West rival North Penn.
