The Green Hornets needed 4 games to defeat the Sayre Redskins last night in Wellsboro. Wellsboro won the first game 25-16, but dropped the second one to Sayre 24-26. The Hornets rebounded to win the next two games to pick up the 3-1 victory and improve their record to 8-7 overall.
Junior Hannah Zuchowksi led the team in kills (22), and digs (11), while Senior Marissa Cornell added 15 service points (2 aces) and 21 assists.
In JV action, Wellsboro dropped Sayre in two games to pick up their 13th win of the year. The Hornets will be back in action Saturday, October 22 as they travel to Northeast Bradford.
