The Hornets girls soccer team shut out the Williamson Warriors 7-0 on the road Monday night. Senior Taylor Acorn started the scoring for Wellsboro at 9:44. Lauren Bleggi scored next for the Hornets at 34:48 off an assist from Emilie Kramer to push the lead to 2-0 at the half.
Wellsboro started the second half scoring quickly, as Sarah Kramer scored at 43:38 and Brooke Kohler scored at the 44:58 off an assist from Jessie Catherman. Catherman added another assist on the evening as she set up Bleggi for her second goal of the evening. Wellsboro would close the scoring for the night with goals from Sherri Hovis and Catherman.
With the win, the Hornets improve to 6-6 on the season before they host Wyalusing on Wednesday, October 3. Game time is set for 5:30 p.m.
