The girls tennis team dropped Williamson 7-0 Wednesday night in Wellsboro. The highlights of the evening were fifth singles, in which a see-saw second set tottered to Wellboro's favor only after getting to a tie breaker. Even the tie breaker started out even before Christine Kennedy ended the match by winning the last 5 points. The evening finished with an even closer match.
Anna Copp and Brooke Gottwald fought back from a lopsided first set to win the second set. In the tie breaker they managed an 8-7 lead and were two points from victory before Wellsboro took the match by the smallest possible margin. Ashley Evans' 1st singles victory evened the season series with Bekka Paul, who had won their first matchup in straight sets.
