The Hornets girls soccer team fell to Southern Colubmia in the first round of the PIAA District 4 Soccer playoffs Tuesday night by the final score of 6-1. After falling behind 2-0 early in the contest, Senior Taylor Acorn scored on a breakaway goal to bring the Hornets within a goal. The Hornets were no match for Southern's speed, as they were able to outscore Wellsboro 4-0 after Acorn's goal.

The loss ends Wellsboro's season. The team finished 9-10 overall and 9-9 in the NTL.
