Friday night's game against Towanda was a hard fought contest for the Hornets. On Towanda's first offensive play, Jake Lamphere connected with R.J. Baker to give the Black Knights an early 7-0 lead. After a lightning delay, the Hornets marched downfield as Cameron Jones connected with Colton Acorn to even the score at 7-7.
From that moment on, it was all Towanda as Lamphere and Baker hooked up 3 more times the Knights pushed the halftime score to 44-7. The Hornets were able to score one more time on the night, as Week 4 Athlete of the Week Pat Driebelbies found the end zone.
With the loss, the Hornets are now 2-3 on the season, as they prepare to face Troy at home on Friday.
