Poirier, Singer fall in D4 Tennis Singles Tournament

Seniors Will Poirier and Zach Singer competed in the PIAA District IV Boys Tennis singles tournament on Saturday, May 8.

Poirier, the #4 seed, had a 1st round bye and lost his 2nd round match to Selinsgrove's Austin Imhoof 7-5, 6-4. Singer went 1-1 on the day, beating Muncy's Kaleb Meyer 6-2, 6-1. Singer then fell to Hughesville's Logan Burns, the #2 overall seed, 6-0, 6-0 in the 2nd round.

Both Poirier and Singer are back in action on Tuesday, May 11 with the rest of their Hornet teammates as they host Milton in the quarterfinals of the PIAA District IV team tournament at Packer Park starting at 3:00 p.m.
