MS Soccer wins big over Port Allegany

The Wellsboro Middle School Soccer team won a 7-2 game over visiting Port Allegany on Tuesday, September 10.

Wellsboro scored the first 3 goals of the game by Dillon Boyce (7th minute), Ian Hoose (9th minute), and Maddy Mascho (17th minute). Port Allegany scored in the 24th minute of the game to end the half, 3-1.

In the second half, Dillon Boyce scored his second goal of the game 7 minutes into the half. Port Allegany answered back in the 18th minute. Wellsboro then scored 3 more goals to close out the game. Goals were scored by Caden Smith (22nd minute), Jacob Abadi with an assist by Maddy Mascho (18th minute) and with 8.9 seconds left on the clock, Sara Seeling headed the ball in from an assist by Ian Hoose.

Wellsboro had 15 shots on goal; Port Allegany had 4 shots on goal. Mitchell Butler had 2 saves in the goal for Wellsboro.

The win improves the Hornets' record to 2-0-1 overall. The team is back in action on Saturday, September 14 at Williamson.
